Eatout 2008

Fork

Oozing urban cool, this CBD spot throbs with media types and well-heeled young guns. Ideal as an after-works drinks-and-a-chat kind of haunt but just as good if sampling and sharing is your thing. They call it tapas but the generous offerings are more side-portion size than soupcons (making it tricky to sample very much if you're eating alone). Portuguese grilled sardines served on rocket, Moroccan meatballs, lamb skewers with cumin sauce and tuna with cannelloni beans are evidence of the team's penchant for gourmet globetrotting and a mere sample of the myriad choices to be shared and enjoyed with your fellow diners. The wine list is varied but could do with more by-the-glass choices to stand up to the varied menu offerings.
