Capetonians searching for somewhere relaxed enough for slipslops
but still stylish enough to be seen at should head for Fork, perfect
for a late business lunch, after-work drinks or a post-movie or
-theatre dinner. Owners JD Haasbroek and Ed Saunders (above) pride
themselves
on serving up a delicious array of ‘contemporary tapas’ – basically,
modern cuisine in chic, tapas-sized potions. The menu features a
mix of global flavours ranging from fried tagliolini with basil pesto
to diced tuna loin served with cannellini-bean
salad (below) and ostrich-fillet rolls stuffed with Emmenthal, asparagus,
sweet chilli and mustard. Deciding what to order isn’t easy:
select a few dishes and share them to ensure you get to sample
as many as possible!
